Open call for submissions! 

What does America’s 250th anniversary mean to you? ​​Guidelines are as follows:
​
• 2d work must be able to hang on a wall.
• 3d work must be able to be safely placed on a pedestal or the gallery floor.
• Work must have been created by you, the artist: the use of generative AI will not be accepted.
• Overtly political work is encouraged, but display is ultimately subject to the decision of the gallery. Submission does not guarantee exhibition.
• Please email a high resolution image as well as a brief artist’s statement to [email protected] by June 13th.
• If accepted, your work must be delivered to the gallery by Wednesday, June 24th.
• Exhibition will open July 3rd, at 5pm as part of Art By Night.
• Best in show prize of $250 will be awarded at close of exhibition on July 31st.
• ​20% of proceeds from works sold go to WBRA (Blue Ridge PBS). The gallery gives 10% of their 50% cut and the artist gives 10% of their 50% but can choose to give more. 

Monthly Gallery Crawl

On the first Friday of every month, Downtown Roanoke participates in Art By Night. Local art galleries remain open from 5:00-8:00pm*, giving folks an exclusive opportunity to visit after normal business hours. Spend an evening with friends and loved ones enjoying local art and taking a stroll around the city. Art By Night is always free and refreshments are often provided.
