"The Phrygian Cap, logo of the 2024 Olympics, sits on the head of Marianne, symbol of the French Republic. Marianne, in this collage, consists of French postage stamps commemorating this fictional character (sometimes analogized to the U.S. figure, Uncle Sam). Three other sections honor similar poses, perhaps inspired by Marianne—the red and the purple Statue of Liberty stamps, and the 1987 60pf German stamp honoring the Bavaria München bronze statue above the Theresienwiesse Hall of Fame (Bavaria being the female symbol of Bavaria). Part of my response to the November 2024 election, this collage draws on the suggestion that the United States return the Statue of Liberty to France, as well as the future vice president’s denigration of women who choose to raise cats instead of babies (a couple cats hang around Marianne’s pedestal). Several roosters, which also represent liberty in French culture, strut at Marianne’s feet."

"Also among the series of patriotic works created in response to a purported despot’s occupation of the White House, this collage depicts what used to be considered “The People’s House,” formed with postage stamps that commemorate the White House. Stamps in windows represent programs for which the administration has cut funding. A broken cross made of religious stamps from around the world lies across the White House, and bloody tears represent the pain and deaths caused. Upside-down flag stamps form the upper background, while stamps of the U.S. Capitol and fundamental rights comprise the lower background. A single Canadian postage stamp of a muskrat festers at the base of a White House column."

"Upside down Liberty Bell and Statue of Liberty postage stamps outline the banking and finance stamps that form a narcissistic arch, which also represents the promoter’s favorite food, McDonald’s (which he possibly is unaware generated the massive Joan Kroc endowment to National Public Radio). Balls populate the two-part upside-down double-T-shaped orange ballroom, partially surrounded by inverted United States flags."
