"At the beginning of the year, I made a series of large intuitive drawings and then made this painting. At some point I realized I was channeling my frustration and anger, if not rage, at the current administration. Animals started entering the drawing. And then I made this painting. A friend saw it and said, 'hmm, mad dog.' And that became its title. Who’s mad? I am. And so is that man in the White House."
